Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), as one of the China's key institutions of higher learning, has developed from an institution of scientific specialties to a comprehensive university with a core curriculum of science, economic management and languages. It also was authorized to receive China Governmental Scholarship Students. BUCT attaches great importance to international inter-university academic exchange and cooperation. BUCT has signed agreement with more than 20 universities in 12 countries and regions, and more than 500 overseas students have studied their courses in our university. BUCT consists of 10 Schools. More than 1800 staff members are working on campus, including 4 academicians of the country and over 460 full and associate professors. Around 12000 students are currently studying at BUCT including more than 1700 for Master's or Doctoral degrees. There are 2 Postdoctoral Programs, 11 Ph.D. specialties, 22 Master Programs and 29 Bachelor program specialties offered in the university. Chinese students and foreign students can apply for studying in the specialties.

Requirements for Application

• Anyone who is interested in Chinese language and culture and is in good health can ask international exchange and cooperation department for the application form.

• Applicants for undergraduate programs are required to have an education equivalent to, or higher than, that for a Chinese senior middle school graduate; applicants for Master's degree programs should have a Bachelor's degree, applicants for Doctor's degree should have a Master's degree, applicants for further studies are required to have undergone a two-year college study program. Applicants for Master's degree or Doctoral degree should present letters of recommendation from two teachers with the post of associate professor or higher.

Expenses

1.  Application Fee: US$ 60 per person

3.  Accommodation: Standard bedroom (with two beds, TV set, telephone, air conditioner, bathroom, washing machine, kitchen): US$ 5 per bed per day.

4.  Living Expenses: Students can eat on campus in the student dining halls; the monthly expenses are approximate US$150 per person on average.

5. Insurance: every overseas student should have accident and injury insurance and hospitalization insurance. Our university can provide the basic insurance to every student for free.
