My name is SonLe. I am the coordinator International Co-op Education
at Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon, U.S.A. I would like
to create some work sites for our students in China, Hongkong
and Taiwan. Please let me know if you interested in having American
University/college students come to your school/business to teach
English.
International Cooperative Education (ICE) at Lane Community College
(LCC) is an educational partnership between LCC, the individual
student, and your country's school, business and social services.
This partnership provides relevant on-the-job training and a cross-cultural
experience for students.
We try to find work sites in China, Hongkong and Taiwan where
our students can teach English in private and public schools (grades
preschool through university level) and in English language institutes.
We also would like to arrange additional work experiences with
hospitals, business corporations, social services agencies, orphanages,
and recreation programs for our students.
Our students will teach English for free in exchange for their
room and board. We would like to find the local families where
our students can stay with during the time they 're there.
Our program goals is to provide our students the opportunity
to gain valuable skills in cross-cultural communication, cultural
sensitivity, and making life-long friends worldwide at the same
time of helping Japanese students learn more English and American
culture.
Please let me know if our program fit with your school. I am
heading to Vietnam this coming Nov and would like to visit some
of your school. Please give me a call or e-mail me to let me know
soon so I can book the ticket to stop over. You are also welcome
to visit our web site at College Department then do down to C
to find Cooperative Education.
Thanks for you consideration.
