Currently the college has a total full-time staff of 347, of which 101 are full professors and associate professors, including 87 doctoral or master¡¯ degree holders. At present, the total number of full-time students at HMC has reached around 6400.
In addition, varieties of programs were offered to meet the different needs of the students. For instance, there are the 3-year-non-degree programs, the corresponding course programs, the professional training programs and the short-term acupuncture-massage training program for international students etc. There arealso active international exchange programs which maintain educational ties with the United States, Canada and Australia.The College continues to strengthen international educational ties with colleges and universities around the world.
Located in the southwest of Hunan province, central China, Huaihua has a population of around 4.900 million, including a population of 180,000 in the city proper. It is a city which enjoys great traffic convenience with railways and highways ramified over the country. The newly-renovated ZhijiangAirport began its operation at the end of 2005, which offers more choices for international students. The annual average temperature varies between 16-20¡ãC, thus making tourism possible from Mar. to November. Huaihua presents a natural picture of green mountains and hills, matched by rivers and crooks like meandering threads. It is regarded as a good place for relax and rest with little industrial pollution and is easily accessible to the internationally famous and beautiful tourist sites such as Guilin and Zhangjiajie. The Short-term Training Program for International Students This program, especially designed for international students, won a wide appeal among international students as soon as it came out 3 years ago. The past 3 years have seen quite a number of students from the US, the UK, Canada, Austria, Germany, Israel and so on join us in this training program. The courses offered in our college include acupuncture, moxibustion, basic theory of TCM, diagnostics, materia medica, prescription, massage (tuina in Chinese), Qigong, internal medicine, Tai Ji Quan etc. Theoretical study is provided in our college, while clinical practice and witness are available in our affiliated TCM hospital and acupuncture clinics which are visited by many patients everyday. The teaching language of the program can be in Chinese or English to your liking. In a word, the program is featured in the following aspects: no special requirements for educational backgrounds, academic records, ages and professions; one of the few TCM programs taught in English throughout China; flexible duration of study which varies from a few weeks to a few months; wonderful English-Chinese textbooks offered; qualified and considerate teaching staff; friendly environment and atmosphere for study and living; low costs for everything; an experience of real Chinese acupuncture and massage; contents compatible for both TCM beginners and advanced learners.

Expenses1. Tuition fee ( in U S dollars) a. Tuition fees should be prepaid to the college before the courses starts. The tuition fees are non-refundable. The following tuition form is for the time less than 2 months. As to the tuition fee for more than 2 months, it is lower than the standard below.
b. Book and reference material: Study materials will be charged according to the selling price with a ten-percent additional charge to cover postage.
a) Hotel room with a bathroom, television, telephone, air-conditioner, $ 15-18 per day.Two students can share it and the expense. b) Student apartments, provided with a shared lavatory, air-conditioning, TV set, telephone, cooking facilities, and so on, $ 120, and it can be shared by 2 to 6 students. 3. Meals: The daily meal cost is about £¤12 or $ 2 or less in the students canteen according to the Chinese average expenses. 4. Other fees: International return travel and domestic transportation, medicine and health insurance, personal insurance for the duration of the programs are to be borne by the students themselves.
