The university consists of a Changsha Campus, a Zhuzhou Campus and a teaching base in Beijing.
Since its foundation, the University has cultivated more than 40000 qualified graduates or alumni worldwide. In 2004, our university was appraised “excellent” by the Undergraduate Teaching Evaluation of the Education Ministry of China. Relationships have been established with various universities and international organizations in over 20 countries. The University enjoys a favorable tendency in international educational cooperation.

Founded in 1958, Central South University of Forestry and Technology, a multidisciplinary university, has specialized branches in science, engineering, agriculture, arts, law, economics, management and education. It has been authorized to confer a comprehensive range of degrees including bachelor’s, master’s, doctorate programs and post-doctoral programs.
The university is made up of 20 colleges/schools, 4 teaching departments, 3 institutes and a teaching center, with more than 1700 staff members and over 22000 full-time students. It has over 30 foreign teachers on campus now.
Hunan province is also a beautiful province for living and sightseeing. It locates to the south of the Yangtze river, located between108°—114° eastern longitude, 24℃—30℃north latitude. The average temperature is between16℃—18℃.It boast lot of historical resorts and scenic spots ,such as Yuelu Academy, one of the 4 most famous Academies in China in the Ming Dynasty with a history of over 1000 years, Shaoshan,the hometown of Chairman Mao Zedong, National Forestry Park Zhang Jiajie, Fengfuang ancient city, Heng Mountain, Nanyue Temple, Yueyang Tower, Suxian Ridge and so on.
