Henry English School is located in Baotou, which is a well-known and attractive city in Inner Mongolia. Henry English School is a somewhat public English communication centre set up by international organizations in non- English speaking countries. With fast development of Baotou and the tendency of internationalization, competition will be very fierce; therefore English speaking has become a basic and important skill for people’s communication. Thus nowadays much importance has been attached to English widely. Henry English School provides opportunities for every student who likes English. In recent years, our school has functioned at a higher level, and achieved outstanding results. Our aim is to help every student build up strong self-confidence to speak English at Henry English School.

Henry English School adheres to the following teaching characteristics: time flavor, international background, plural civilization and teaching vanguard. We stress teaching quality. Meanwhile, we combine basic of foreign language training with cultural communication. Our school regularly invites overseas goodwill mission and individual to visit Henry English School. We also carry on lingual and cultural interchange. Besides, we hold various kinds of lectures about foreign culture. We aim at making our school develop towards internationalization gradually, and broadening students’ vision, especially changing theirs ideas so greatly that they can foster a completely new idea in future social competition. They should possess confidence, optimist, friendship, co-operation, fortitude and bravery that our motto proposed step by step. Our final aim is to make our school to be a modern Henry Education Group.

Our school teaching plan consists of several levels: elementary English(Super Kids and Cambridge), Mid-level English(New Concept English, New Interchange) and advanced English(Look Ahead, GRE and IELTS).

Henry English School is qualified for Foreign Experts Employment Certificate issued by National Foreign Experts Bureau.

There are 3 full-time foreign teachers work at Henry throughout the year. They live in Baotou, and enjoy warm atmosphere, enthusiasm and kind-hearted at The Henry Family. They are deeply impressed by the characteristic culture of Baotou when they teach here.

Henry English School has more than 30 teachers at present. We also have cooperative agreement with Foreign Language Institute in Inner Mongolia University, Foreign Language Institute in Inner Mongolia Teacher’s University and Baotou Teachers’ College. These universities appoint senior teachers to help our school.

We take communicative teaching as our main teaching method. The Chinese teachers and foreign teachers cooperate well. We also make full use of computer, TV and multimedia language equipment which help us create lively class atmosphere and convey knowledge more vividly.

As a newly emerging force in English Education, Henry English School is vigorous and energetic. Now more and more experienced Chinese teachers join in Henry English School. Our school has tried to enhance its international exchanges too. Teachers from Canada, New Zealand, UK and America have been invited to work here and enjoyed their work and living conditions very much. All our Chinese teachers are young, energetic and have a very good education background, and their teaching has been proved to be highly effective.
