Department of Textile and Chemical Engineering

Department of Textile and Chemical Engineering is the leading department in Changzhou Textile Garment Institute. And it has about 2000 full-time students and 14 majors (or directions). Textile Dyeing, Finishing Technology and Textile Design are characteristic specialties, and Textile Finishing and Inspecting is provincial model specialty. It has a high-quality teaching staff and boasts modern machinery and equipment, such as: INSTRON material test system, FAST fabric style instrument, 4Dmax textile and fashion design system, DATCOL computer color configuration and matching system, LA auto weighing and stillicide system, American high Feature liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS), infrared ray chromatography analyzer, etc. It can carry out the following projects: design and pattern-making of textile product, design and pattern-making of dyeing and finishing, analysis and testing of textile product, environmental monitoring and sewage treatment. Thousands of “qualification plus feature” graduates are warmly received in society and some of them have built their own careers.

Modern Textile Techniques (orientated towards Textile Technology and Trade)

Education objectives:
To cultivate senior practical talents with both the theory of modern textile and practical skills. Graduates will be able to work in these fields: the feature testing of textile material and yarn, equipment maintenance of modern textile machinery, design and development of yarn and fabric series of cotton, wool, silk, flax, and chemical fiber, textile technology design and mill manufacturing management, marketing of textile material and product, etc.

Education duration:
3 years for graduates of senior middle school.
