Department of Mechanical and Electric Engineering
Department of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering is the mainstay
in the institute. We have an excellent teaching staff, including
15 associate professors, senior engineers, and visiting professors.
There are also three subject-pioneers and 14 teachers with rich
practical experience in engineering. We also have excellent experiment
equipments, such as nine basic laboratories, one national electric
and intelligent equipment for demonstration, one CAD/CAM center
of numerically controlled turning, two computer laboratories for
modern mechanical and electric designing, six training laboratories
for mechanical processing and electricity and eight practice bases
off campus. So we can provide more than 300 people with mechanical
and electric technology training positions at the same time,. Our
department is the training and appraisal unit for national numerically
controlled program, the training and appraisal unit of three-dimensional
design for American companies such as Autodesk, UGS, PTC and so
on, and also the training base of relevant skills for some domestic
famous enterprises. Our department has a high quality teaching staff,
and now has 10 majors cultivating senior practical talents who possess
mechanical and electric skills. And the productions designed and
made by teachers and students have frequently won prizes in municipal,
provincial and national competitions.
Numerically-Controlled skill
Educational objectives:
Students are required to master the basic skills in mechanical design,
electrician and electron, and SCM and PLC, and have the basic theory
and skills of CAD/CAM and numerical control. They also can operate,
adjust, and maintain the machine tool. Our goal is to educate the
vocational talents, who not only can operate and program numerically
controlled processing, but also have the ability of adjusting and
maintaining the equipment.
Education duration:
Three years for graduates of senior middle school.

Graduates are able to work in working posts concerning
numerical design, the programming, operation, maintenance of numerically-controlled
processing, operation of CAD/CAM; the control, operation, adjustment
and maintenance of mechanical equipment, and others such as modern
equipment manufacture, management and marketing of electric equipment.
Die Design and Process
Educational objectives:
Students are required to master the skills in die design and process,
and have the basic skills of designing, producing, assembling, adjusting,
maintaining, and operating the die equipment. Our goal is to train
the vocational talents on the design and process of modern dies,
and on field operation of mechanical processing and dealing skill.
Education duration:
Three years for graduates of senior middle school.

Machine Design and Manufacture / Technology
of Textile
Educational objectives:
Students are required to master the basic skills in machine design
and process, electrician and electron and SCM and PLC, the use and
maintenance of the textile equipment. Our goal is to train the vocational
talents who not only have the theory and skills of mechanism and
electricity, but also can process, maintain the textile equipment,
examine the textile products, control their quality, and manage
the field textile production.
Education duration:
Four years for graduates of senior middle school.

Our goal is to cultivate students who master the basic skills in
automatic designing and modifying of textile machinery, electrician
and electricity, SCM and PLC technology, and computer-controlled
technology, and in all kinds of equipment of dyeing and finishing
technology, and know about the use and maintenance of equipment;
who are skillful with dyeing and finishing machinery and automatically-controlled
technology, and can work on the design, development, process, and
maintenance of dyeing and finishing equipment and technique.
