Introduction
 

Jiangsu Hua Luogeng High School (original name Jintan High School) was established in 1922,and wan chosen as a Provincial key high school in 1959 and in honor of the world outstanding-Professor Hua Luogeng, one of its first graduates, it reformed its name in 1985, In 1999 it gained its honor “State Level Campus High School” in Jiangsu Province.

After years of development, it now occupies an area of over 160 thousand square metres, and its built-up area to 40000 square meters. There are altogether 53 classes and a total of more than 3000 students. The school has a contingent of teachers who have high quality and completed subjects with rational organization and among them there are 2 special- class teachers, 60 high-class teachers and 3 teachers who were chosen as national outstanding teachers.

It boasts of a wonderful layout, The main building has grand appearance with lush plants dotted around, presenting a ple asant picture. The school possesses an easy and fine academic environment combined with a strong literary atmosphere. With the development of modem education, modem teaching facilities, sports facilities and comfortable living facilities have been installed, such as computer rooms, phonetic rooms, multimedia classroom, a school computer network. And all of these have played an important role here.

During the past 80 years, the school sticks to the motto of “Diligent, Realistic, Strict and Creative”, and has reaped abundant fruits. Some academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences such as Hua Luogeng, Tang Dingyuan, Sun Shu, Qian Ji once studied here. The school has fostered thousands of qualified and excellent technicians. They devote themselves to the construction and development of their motherland and the civilization and improvement of the world. With the steady rise of teaching quality and yearly rise of operation school level, the Hua Luogeng high school was chosen as Provincial-Level Civilized School and Provincial Advance Moral and Educational School, Provincial Teen-ages’ Educational Distinctive School on Science and Technology.
