Introduction
 

Established in 1946, Kunshan Middle School of Jiangsu province was listed as a provincial key middle school. In 1980, it was among the first well-run key middle schools in Jiangsu province. In 1992, it was checked and accepted as a qualified key middle school by the Provincial Educational Committee. In 2000, it was confirmed as a state exemplary middle school. Our school has been cited many times by the educational authorities of Suzhou and Jiangsu, and conferred the following titles: Jiangsu provincial advanced school in moral education, Suzhou municipal model school of civilization and so on. Our school is situated at the south foot of Mount Yufeng in Yushan town, covering an area of 8o hectare, with architectural complex of 50 thousand square meters. It is now equipped with fine teaching buildings, an experiment building, a library building, a stadium and multi-media education net.

Our staff members are mainly made up of teachers with medium-level and senior-level titles, including two teachers of special classification, two provincial academic directors and five Suzhou municipal academic directors. The teaching quality has been increasing annually. In recent years, the undergraduate rate of the examinees maintains about 90%. The students of this school have won a lot of prizes in various provincial and national competitions, including those who have won Li Zhengdao scholarship and the provincial first prize in the competitions of mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. Our school faces the water with a hill behind, and is famous for its scenic beauty.

In the past 50 yeas or more, more than 30 thousand students have graduated and entered the society.
