Changshu Foreign Language School Changshu Foreign Language School is a member of the National Foreign Language Schools.In August,2000,it was named one of the first experimental foreign language schools. Junior students are enrolled from all urban and rural primary schools and receive a 6-year education in it.The guiding principle of our school is;Lay emphasis on both sciences and liberal arts ,pay special attention to foreign language studies,make progress simultaneously yn all subjects and improve the overall abilities of the students;We help the students lay a sound foundation in all subjects,be good at foreign languages and have development potential.So a great many students have been admitted to colleges and universities,majoring in sciences,liberal arts,foreign languages and sports. We consider moral training as foundation,teaching researeh as precursor,teaching as central task and creation as spirit of development.We develop the students' overall abilities,especially in foreign languages. The foreign language teaching has been well developed in the practice.The foreign visitors often praise the students for their English abilities,especially their listening and speaking.

In 1999,the first students of changshu Foreign Language School took the College Entrance Examination.100% of them were admitted to colleges and universities,with 91% of them at universities. Yao Yu ranked the first of all science students in Suzhou and second in Jiangsu Province.She won the first prize of Li Zhengdao Scholarship.In 2000,100% of the second students were admitted to colleges and universities,With 92% of them at universities. The average score of the students surpasses the university level by 18.Shi Bin ranked the first of all science students in Changshu again. In the spring of 1998.Shen Guofang,the Chinese Deputy Representative and Special Ambassador of UN,came to our school for the third time.He gave us an inscription Wish Changshu Foreign Language School a new look in the 21st century; We are sure that Changshu Foreign Language School will be a first-class experimental and demonstrative for eign language school in China. In 2001,Changshu Foreign Language School will enroll the graduates of primary schools.Those who are good at learning or have specialities are preferred.
