During the past century, the faculty's consistent hard work has created a legacy of profound cultural and academic achievements which has made her one of the most famous high schools of the country. Huaiyin High School is situated in two locations. One site is at 174# West Street, and the other is at No. 99 Jiefang East Road in the southeast of the city near the Developing Zone. The total area of the school is 239,760 square metres. The school has a beautiful campus with advanced facilities and wonderful teachers. Modern computer-assisted teaching centers have been set up in the school which has made teaching and studying more effective. There is an E-learning centre, a cable TV centre, a multimedia teaching system, a school net and an Internet educator platform to foster education online. Nearly 5,000 students from 88 classes attend Huayin High School. The faculty consists of more than 300 teachers. Our distinguished faculty has 10 special grade teachers, more than 70 senior teachers, and 30 teachers have been awarded provincial and national prizes. The faculty and staff of Huaiyin High School believe
that all students deserve a quality education. Therefore, teachers pay
special attention to the learning styles, talents, and individual needs
of students. During the course of study, teachers provide a stimulating
environment to foster independent study and the harmonious development
of each student. As a result, the majority of the students have been
and will be of great use to society. Over 95% of Huaiyin High School
graduates have the chance for further study in colleges and universities
and more than 80% have been admitted into key national universities.
In 2002, 31 students had the chance of going to study in Qinghua University
or Beijing University, of whom 17 were admitted into the two famous
universities. Li Rui, who got the first place in the provincial IT Competition
, was chosen as a member of the National Olympic IT team of China.
The school has enhanced the curriculum reform which
has developed various alternative subjects in which students are involved
in nature preservation projects, community activities and the latest
developments of science and technology. The recent goal is to build
a national model school with an international perspective which promotes
communication and cooperation with foreign counterparts. The school
has planned to invite experts from English-speaking countries. In this
case, the school will become more prosperous. |
