Southern
Yangtze University (SYU, previously Light Industry University) is directly
under the Ministry of Education and belongs to the national "211
Project". Southern Yangtze University---Lambton College (SYUL)
is jointly established by Southern Yangtze University, Canadian Lambton
College, Memorial University of Newfoundland, College of the North Atlantic
and American Northwood University with aim to train high-level talents
for applied technology and business & Commercial administration.
It is the subordinate college of Southern Yangtze University and located
in Qingshan Campus. SYUL was approved by State Department to cooperate
with the colleges in North America. SYUL offers Chinese students a chance
to receive Canadian and American education. After students finish their
study in the requirements, they will be granted certificates and
bachelor degree of cooperative colleges and universities, which is ratified
both in home and abroad. Students will also get a chance to go to Canada
or America for further education. At present, there are 460 students
of two grades in our college.
Southern Yangtze University-Lambton College needs to recruit 21 foreign faculty members, who will be required to teach in English for the Spring term from beginning of September, 2006 to January, 2007 .
