Liaoning's capital has the biggest International Airport in Northeast China. 22 kilometres from the centre Shenyang, the busy airport operates flights to domestic cities such as Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou and Xi'an; but also to international cities such as Hong Kong, Irkutsk, Macau, Osaka, Seoul and Moscow. A taxi ride to the airport may cost around RMB50. The airport shuttle bus (RMB10) is available at the gate of the CAAC office at 117 Zhonghua Lu. For a detailed flight schedule, please click here.

Railway station

Shenyang is also the major railroad junction in Northeast China. There are two major railway stations in Shenyang. Trains heading for Beijing (9hours), Harbin (7hours), Guangzhou (55hours) and Shanghai (23hours) leave from the North Station on Beizhan Lu and trains to Dalian (6hours) usually leave from the South Station at Shengli Nan Jie

Bus station

Express buses connect Shenyang with cities in the Northeast ("Dongbei" - which means the three provinces Liaoning, Jilin and Heilongjiang) such as Changchun (5hours) and Dalian (6hours) as well as with Beijing (8hours) and Tianjin (8hours). There are three long distance bus stations. So before you go, double check to make sure you're at the right one.
