As a national leading university directly under the Ministry of Education, Sichuan University (SCU) is located in Chengdu, capital city of Sichuan Province. SCU is also one of the universities involved in the state programs “Project 211” and “Project 985”. Twice merged with the three prestigious universities, namely, the former Sichuan University, Chengdu University of Science and Technology, and West China University of Medical Science, the University at present has grown into a multiversity, one of largest institutions in China, with the widest disciplinary coverage in west China. This century-old school stands at the forefront of Chinese higher learning due to its overall strength.
Foundation College of China Scholarship Council, Sichuan University was founded in April, 2005, based on the former Center for Higher National Diploma. Approved by Sichuan University, ours is among the 15 Foundation Colleges of China Scholarship Council.
Directly under the University, the Foundation College is officially responsible for collaboration with overseas colleges and universities, and educational organizations. Through the successful practice of the HND program in the past three years, the
College has established good relationship with Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA) as well as more than forty universities from different countries like Great Britain, the Netherlands, Australia, and Canada. So far, the College has offered the 3+1 program with UK universities in undergraduate education, and the 1+3 program with Dutch and Australian institutions. A 4+0 undergraduate program with a Scottish university is actively under preparation. Besides, some pre-master programs are ready for recruitment.
The Foundation College provides an opportunity of quality education for learners, and extends a welcome to native English speakers who have experience in either language teaching or in the fields of business management, financial services, and computing.
