University has 1 Division of Physical Education and 11 colleges as
follows: the College of Metrological Technology, the CJLU enrolls over 10,000 students. Altogether around 900 faculty members are working on its teaching front line with 60% of them holding Master or PhD degrees and 42% appointed as professors and associate professors. Many famous scholars such as Professor Daheng Wang (academician of CAS and CAE), Professor Xingdan Chen (academician of CAS), and Professor Tongbao Li (academician of CAE) are hired by CJLU as guest professors or part-time professors to give regular lectures at the University. Therefore CJLU has a strong scholar team to guarantee the cultivation of high-qualified talents. All these have laid a firm foundation in building the University into a well-known teaching and research university in China. CJLU possesses a first class campus and numerous modern teaching facilities. Its quiet and beautiful campus is designed both innovatively and uniquely with complete functions. The University is persistent in constructing academic subjects as its primary goal. It is actively enhancing its national and international exchange and cooperation and has established academic relationships with a number of famous Chinese universities and institutes such as Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, University for Science and Technology of Shanghai, China Academy of Metrology and Science and other universities from the USA, France, Russia, Germany, Italy, and Australia.
The ten-year development plan of CJLU (yrs 2001-2010)
points out that after ten years' hard efforts CJLU will be built into
a key teaching and research university of Zhejiang Province with featured
programs in Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and
with well-coordinated development in diversified academic subjects. |
China Jiliang University (CJLU) is located in Hangzhou, the renowned
historic and tourism city in East China. It is the
only university qualified to offer Bachelor and Master degrees in the
sectors of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine in
China. 
College of Mechatronics
Engineering, the College of Information Engineering, the College of
Sciences, the College of Management, the College of Life Sciences,
the College of Foreign Languages, the College of Law, the College of
Humanities & Social Sciences, the College of Modern Science & Technology,
and the College of Continuing Education. It offers 29 undergraduate
programs ranging over 6 academic subjects in engineering, management,
law, literature, science and economics. It owns 10 key disciplines
and laboratories (including the discipline of Metrological Technology
and Instrumentation ) of Zhejiang Province or relevant national
ministries, and 30 research institutes (including the Photoelectronics
Research Center and the Magnetic Materials Engineering Research
Center ). Its researchers have undertaken over 700 state, ministrial,
provincial and enterprise-commissioned projects, of which 50 have won
scientific and 
teaching achievement awards at the ministrial or provincial
level.
