Introduction

Jinhua No.1 High School, Established in 1902, Jinhua No.1 High School has a long history and many great people graduated From this school . It is the First-Class Key High School, Model Collective and High Civilized Organization in Zhejiang Province.

In September 2004, Jinhua No.1 High School had entirely moved to 1588 Guang Nan Road, Jin Dong District, Jinhua City. The campus has an area of 432 Mu(1 Mu = 0.0667 hectares) , the construction area of 120,000 sq. meters, and the total investment of 240 million Yuan. It is planned to arrange 72 classes, 3600 residential students and 400 teaching and administrative staffs. Now the school has 1900 students and 210 staffs. Jinhua Foreign Language School, which is jointly founded by Jinhua No.1 High School and Central Zhejiang Educational Group, lies in the new campus of the high school and covers an area of 60 Mu and the construction area of 23000 sq.meters with 24 classes and 960 residential students.

The new campus is divided into five areas for teaching, living, sports, arts and comprehensive office, being with reasonable layout, complete functions and advanced facilities.

Comprehensive office Area: The comprehensive office building in the new campus has an area of nearly 20000 sq. meters in which there are 9 classrooms of computer network education, library, exhibition hall of the school history, academic report hall, conference room, exercise room, school network center, etc.. It is a study and service center of the school which integrats various functions.

Sports area: There is a 400m plastic track field and a 250m plastic track field respectively, a all-weathered field, 9 basketball fields, 11 volleyball fields, 2 tennis fields. High-tech and well-divided areas, and it is also an ideal place for exercises.

Arts area: There are 7 piano practicing rooms, 2 dance practicing halls, a comprehensive art program practising hall, 2 musical teaching rooms, 2 exhibition halls of books and paintings, a calligraphy teaching room, a multimedia room, and an extracurricular activity room.

Teaching area: The teaching building in the new campus has been built according to the modern educational idea, consists 2 large classrooms and a small classroom, flexible in application. There are total of 60 large classrooms, 30 small classrooms, 5 amphitheaters, 7 classrooms for mixed classes. There is computer and projector in every classroom.

There are 2 experimental buildings in the new campus. Each laboratory consists its own kind of facilities according to its subjects. The facilities worth nearly one million Yuan.

Living area: 4 to 6 students can be lived in a room at the dormitory building in the new campus. There are toilets, computer network, telephones, air-conditioning, hot water pipes in the building. There is plenty of light and fresh air at the one-sided corridor. It has adopted the apartment-style management.

There are 3 high quality restaurants in the new campus with a total of 2200 seats, advanced facilities, high standard operation and management. There are underground garages under the restaurants with a total of 98 stalls.
