The spring of 1944 saw the founding of Luqiao Middle School, when it was called "Private Junior Middle School of Huangyan County". And it was transformed into a public school in 1956. In 1981, it was listed as a key school of Zhejiang Province . In 1996, the junior section of the school was separated, therefore, it became a senior middle school. In 1997, it was affirmed by the Educational Committee of Zhejiang Province as a first-class key school of Zhejiang Province.
