Subordinated to Zhejiang Provincial Government,Zhejiang Financial Professional College is a vocational college under the direct guidance of Zhejiang Education Department.Over the three decades since its establishment, zhejiang Financial Professional College has provided millions of professionals for Zhejiang’s developments in the spheres of finance and economy, and most of them have become the backbones in their professions, which aids in creating an excellent social brand for the college and adding remarkable value to it. As a result, Zhejiang Financial Professional College enjoys a reputation as the “HuangpuMilitaryAcademy” for banking industry.
The college has set up 17 majors, including Finance, Insurance, Accounting, International Trade, International Finance, Investment and Financing, etc. There have been established such professional laboratories as Integrative Financial Lab, Financing Branch Lab of Xiasha Economic and Trade Center of National Experimental Base for college education, Skill-Training Centre, etc., along with Securities Lab, Simulated Bank, Multimedia Classroom, E-commerce Lab, the first-class Recreation and Sports Centre and Students’ Development Centre.
In 2002, the college was accredited by China’s Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance as a model vocational college with an emphatic financial support from the central budget. In 2003, it got the title of “the ExcellentVocationalCollege for Bringing up Talents” from Zhejiang Education Department. At present, the college is making arduous efforts to create a top-level, model professional college as “an energetic, featured, and branded ZhejiangFinancialProfessionalCollege”.

Located in the eastern part of Xiasha’s Higher Education District in Hangzhou, the college covers a total area of over 500 mu and has a floor space of 119,892 square meters. It is equipped with excellent teaching facilities, including 169 student computers and a library containing a collection of more than 380,000 volumes, alongside with 25 skill-training centers on campus and the other 59 outside the school. 
Functioning with an idea of “entering the huge market on a financial basis”, the college has set three values for all the staff: “to be welcomed teachers for the students; to establish an excellent college for the society; and to cultivate qualified talents for our time.” It upholds the teachers’ spirit of “morality, dedication and care for the students”, as well as the students’ principle of “honesty, reason and prudence”. The college has been making efforts to construct a service system of “caring about the students’ progress; being concerned with the students’ difficulties, and showing solicitude for the students’ employment.” In addition, in actively exploring the talent-breeding model of “a combination of teaching and practice; close relationships between teachers and students; and students’ smooth transition from school to post”, we have already gained great achievements.
