Hui Pu Middle School

Linhai HuiPu Middle School was originally founded in 1912. Up to now, the school has successfully turned into an education group with sports and foreign language teaching as main characteristics. The Junior Middle School becomes “HuiPu Experimental School” that maintains the teaching of the traditional academic syllabus and “Linhai Foreign Language School”, which further focuses on the teaching of foreign languages. The Senior School remains independent form these changes. These three schools together form the “ HuiPu Education Group”. While each school is managed independently from one another, they operate through the central leadership of the HuiPu Middle School.

HuiPu Middle School, which is now a province-level school of Zhejiang, includes 56 classes, with 2,986 students and 211 staffs. The school's efforts are always focused on teachers' professional development, there are a highly qualified teaching staff, among which are a number of teachers with special classification, national advanced workers and a group of academic leaders. Focused on the theory of becoming an outstanding education group with high moral standard, top teaching quality and distinctive characteristics, implementing an all-students oriented principle, the school has always been emphasizing on developing the students creative spirit and abilities, so as to foster qualified constructers for the country.

The campus occupies an area about 200,000sq. meters, with a construction site of 88,000 sq. meters. The school has a library with 198,000 volumes of books. It has also been equipped with Internet system with an investment of25,000RMB. All the classrooms have high qualified facilities of audio & visual teaching system and campus school TV system.

HuiPu Middle School has worked for the international education exchange over the past years. It joined the Sino-British “GAP” project in 1996. It has also set up friendship with schools in various countries such as the UK, the USA, Australia and so on, by exchanging teachers out of the purpose of communication and improvement. The school has also been on a long-term cooperation with Shanghai Foreign Language School for a long period. We look forward to communicating and cooperating with more schools and education group from all over the world. And we are also expecting native English speakers to join us, teaching spoken English and culture of English-speaking countries.
