Location
The University is situated in the northern suburbs of Jinhua City in central Zhejiang Province. Jinhua, w
ith a population of 430,000, is one of the five major cities in Zhejiang. It is an important communication hub, with its highways and railways linking to all parts of the province as well as to other parts of the country. The City has a history of 2,000 years and enjoys highly developed commerce, scenic and amazing mountains and rivers. Among the area, crowd many cultural resorts, historic attractions and famous relics. It is not only an outstanding place for tourists but the one in between the developed coastal regions (including the Shanghai economic zone) and the inland areas. With its main campus in Jinhua, the University has a branch campus in Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang Province. Hangzhou is famous for the West Lake and is one of the seven ancient capitals of China. It is one of the most attractive tourism cities in China. Campus The University covers an area of over 3,000.00 mu, with a total floor space of 580,460 square meters. The campus, cloaked with green everywhere, is an ideal place for living, study and work. It is within 2 kilometers to the north of the downtown area and 10 kilometers to the south of a national scenic attraction - the Double Dragon Cave. In 1997, the University was named as the “Civilized Campus”. The University has a branch campus in Hangzhou, the capital city of the province.
Qualifications •1. Native English Speakers, born and growing up in an English speaking country such as America, Britain, Australia, Canada and New Zealand; 2. Native Japanese Speakers, born and growing up in Japan; 3. Fine Arts teachers from Russia, Ukraine, France, Germany or other countries; 4. Music teachers from Russia, Ukraine, France, Germany or other countries; • A Bachelor’s degree at least. MA or PhD obtainers are highly desirable; • Healthy, easy-going and cooperative; Job Duties: •1. Teach college students oral English, writing, cross culture communication or other elective courses; 2. Teach oral Japanese, Japanese Culture or other courses; 3. Teach Fine Arts courses; 4. Teach Music courses; 5. One opening available for native English speaks to teach primary school students English; 6.Teach art and design,oil painting,urban planning. •Teaching hours per week: minimum 12 teaching periods, maximum 16 teaching periods ( equivalent to 8 to 10.7 hours); •Term: A contract from September 1st, 2006 to June 30th, 2007. Benefits: •Salary: A monthly salary ranging from 4,000 to 5,500 RMB, depending upon applicants’ education and experience background; •An economic class round-way air-ticket is borne by us for those holding a MA/MS or Ph.D degree; •An additional 2,200 RMB for vacation allowance will be given when the contract expires; •Free furnished apartment provided with a bed-room, a living-room, a kitchen, a bath-room, and a small toilet-room, including a refrigerator, a washing machine, a water heater, a vacuum cleaner, a microwave oven, a gas cooker, a telephone, a TV Set and two air conditioners.
